Counterfeit - Follow Your Heart?
Our hearts were never meant to be our final authority. Jeremiah contrasts the person who trusts in human strength with the person who trusts in the Lord. Because sin affects our desires, thoughts, and motives, what feels right to us is not always what is true. God alone perfectly knows our hearts, so faithful Christian living means submitting what we feel and want to what God has revealed in His Word and learning to trust Him even when our emotions pull us somewhere else.
